As a result of our Spring Luncheon, the Fenton Historical Society is proud to announce the names of two new members – Kathleen Doughtery and Brenda Nenninger. We are so happy to welcome you to our organization and look forward to having you joining us at our monthly meetings.

Speaking of which, in addition to our regular business meeting, (Thursday, June 4) members will elect officers and directors for 2009-2010. We value each and every member for their thoughts and ideas and hope to see a full house at the Swatner House.

For those of you who were unable to attend our April 25 Annual Spring Luncheon, we missed you and hope you’ll be able to join in the festivities next year.

For those of you who were lucky enough to be among the 132 attendees, did we have a party or what? From beginning to end it couldn’t have been more fantastic. The location at Sunset Lakes Banquet Center was wonderful, the weather was perfect, the food delicious – a fun time was had by all.

The Fenton Historical Society would like to thank all the companies and individuals who made donations to the silent auction. We would also like to express our special thanks to Joan Komlos who once again entertained everyone with her extensive knowledge of antiques. Thanks also to George and Judy Luebbers for donating the centerpieces – one going to a lucky individual at each table. Thanks to everyone who donated those delicious desserts for which the Fenton Historical Society is noted. And to everyone who worked so diligently selling luncheon and raffle tickets – we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you all!

And least we forget, kudos to Claire Pyne and Vera Glick for their hard work in organizing this event and making the 2009 Spring Luncheon an “Affair to Remember.”
